It’s Almost Time!

Today (Saturday 6th September) George Street will be declared officially open! Everything will be unveiled at 12noon SLT and I’m believably excited and nervous. I want to thank Aemilia Case of Philotic Energy for all her help and patient coaching and for giving me a home for my store and Dakota Buck for Photoshop help when I wanted to throw in the towel on textures and for making my ads pretty.

All styles will also be available for purchase on OnRez at the same time as they are released inworld so you can sent them as gifts as well! Here’s what we’re looking at for the first 4 styles:

July, July! is a young, playful curly side-pony. It can be worn pulled back from the face for a fresh look or with the detachable side-sweeping bangs*. Wear it while listening to its namesake song by the Decemberists.

*These bangs can be worn with other George Street hairstyles.

You’ll be really to compete in Dance-a-Thon 2005, this ballet influenced style has a small neat bun at the nape of the neck and braided ribbons worn low on the forehead. Try Dance-a-Thon 2005 by Electric Six to get into the full spirit of the dance.

When you remember the party at the last minute, Obstacle 2 is the perfect option. Loose finger-combed curls and a headband to keep them neat with an optional fascinator to add sparkle and glamour. Listen to the Interpol song for which the style is named while you’re in the limo.

Lions in the Storm is a long, thick braid swept back from the face with wispy fly-aways. It has an equestrian influence and with the right outfit can be casual chic or elegantly sophisticated. Slip into a light as air dress and listen to Lions in the Storm by Elysian Fields.
